Warning! Girls on tour - through the wild Swabian countryside

It took place again this year - our “girls tour”.

In mid-July we used the Corona summer break and seven good-humored GS girls started west on Friday afternoon.

On contemplative side streets with a view we went into the Swabian region. In order to really scare Sylvia, who was there for the first time this year, we built a smaller gravel stretch to the Mehlblockalpe. The surprise was successful, the route was easy to drive and Sylvia beamed on arrival.

Only a few hikers looked in amazement at who parked their bikes: "That's not possible - only women!"

We spent the night at the beautiful Landgasthof Hirsch in Hüttenreute, because it is well known that we are at least as demanding when it comes to delicious food on the tour as we are when it comes to beautiful motorcycle routes. Unfortunately Bärbel couldn't be there this year, but had given us the right pins: “Warning! Girls on tour! ”Then an Aperol first!

After we had arrived the day before at high summer temperatures, the next day greeted us much cooler after a rainy night. How good that, just to be on the safe side, they packed a second all-weather jacket. Yes, when girls travel ...

Fortunately it stayed dry and so we went on wonderfully winding routes through the Swabian Alb. First we visited the Wimsener Höhle, then drove through the beautiful upper Danube valley, enjoyed the viewpoint near Emmingen and tried to implement what we had learned during the last curve training. Unfortunately, one or the other speed sign was lost during the fun and later some parking tickets actually rolled into the house. So always be careful in the wild Swabia!

After a delicious meal in the Schenkenberger Hof, we continued towards Lake Constance, past Salem Castle, we took a short coffee break at the Affenberg, were happy about the many storks that breed there and finally roared back to our hotel.

Angelika had prepared the route for the next day. It went south into the beautiful Allgäu. Via the Deggenhausertal, past the Karsee, it went to Niederstaufen. In Oberstaufen we took a coffee break at the Mondi Resort, paid a visit to the Alpsee near Bad Hindelang and enjoyed our lunch break in the Wiesengrund beer garden. Finally it went quickly over the Oberjochpass north to Marktoberdorf and finally home for everyone.

As always, it was a great weekend, with exciting routes and even more exciting (gasoline) discussions. See you next year - Warning!
