Joy, community and unforgettable moments
On July 19, 2025, we not only celebrated our annual summer festival, but also a special anniversary: 10 years of the BMW GS Club International. A weekend full of highlights, motorcycle passion, and a true club community.
As befits a real motorcycle club, the festival included three days of joint rides.
Friday: Great Alpine tour to kick off
The starting signal was given on Friday with an impressive day tour of around 350 kilometers:
Plansee – Namlos Valley – Hahntennjoch – Inn Valley – Tegernsee. Stunning landscapes, winding mountain passes, and perfect weather made this tour an ideal start to the festival weekend.
Saturday: Half-day trip with fun factor
On Saturday morning, a somewhat shorter half-day trip through Upper Bavaria and neighboring Austria followed. The final part of the trip was a special group test, focusing on skill, team spirit, and good humor.
Sunday: Final round with Alpine panorama
After a shared white sausage breakfast on Sunday morning, we set off on the last tour of the weekend:
Berchtesgaden – Roßfeld Panorama Road – Chiemsee – back to Weyarn. Once again, southern Bavaria showed off its best side – a fitting conclusion to an unforgettable weekend.
Already on Saturday morning, there was a palpable sense of anticipation in the air: 35 BMW motorcycles, bright sunshine over Weyarn and people in good spirits, looking forward to a special day.
Together, we set off in divided teams for a wonderful ride toward Lake Chiemsee. The roar of the engines, the breeze, and many smiling faces made the tour a truly enjoyable experience. Over lunch and during breaks, we chatted, laughed, and talked about past and future adventures.
A variety of events awaited the event venue in Weyhalla: The special tests upon the return of the tour participants generated excitement, team spirit, and plenty of laughs. A big thank you to Florian and Katja, who led the challenges with heart and humor!
Technology enthusiasts were able to experience the new BMW R12 G/S live at BMW Martin in Weyarn – many took the opportunity to take a test ride and were thrilled.
There was a birthday cake, Bavarian cream cake.
A particularly emotional moment was the honoring of our members who have been part of the club for ten years. Their loyalty was duly celebrated with certificates of honor and new club pins – a strong symbol of solidarity and passion.

A real highlight: 18 members of our friendly motorcycle club from Iceland traveled here especially for our anniversary. Their enthusiasm for our beautiful country, the time we spent together on and off the bike, and the lively exchange made our celebration all the more special. Takk fyrir komuna!
Of course, enjoyment was not neglected either:
Summery Sarti cocktails, BBQ brisket from the smoker—prepared by Hans with help from Lutz—many different salads, and a lavish cake buffet including a birthday cake rounded off the culinary delights of the celebration.
The evening was all about music: Ronny Nash and his country band created a great atmosphere, and line dancing with Rosi turned the dance floor into the center of the action.
But what made this day truly unforgettable was all of you: almost 100 members, friends, guests, and helpers. Whether during setup, at the grill, at the bar, or in the background – your dedication, your good humor, and your genuine club spirit made this celebration possible.
The atmosphere was warm, lively and full of joy.
A day that will remain in our memories for a long time – an anniversary celebration that couldn’t be more beautiful.
