Curve training Ampfing

According to the trainer yesterday, it should have been 1.400 bends, we didn't count them - we just drove them 😉 ...

In April the corner training was canceled due to the Corona, now we were worried that the weather would not play along; but the kart track dried up in time and the rain stopped. A wet track turns into a slide because of the rubber on or in the asphalt ... but this way we could do our laps and practice cornering under cloudy skies and pleasant temperatures.

Even though I've already driven a few corners in my motorcycle life, I also got one or two valuable tips in this training session. All these tips help me to drive corners even more safely and, above all, to get reserve. Reserves when the curve closes more than expected, reserves when evasive or even room for maneuver if the curve is approached too quickly.

It was great to see the differences when cornering, which line is a good or safe choice, and what you can do when you are sitting properly on the motorcycle. Everyone knows the direction of gaze, but to see what happens when you look “wrong” is impressive. Mainly because nothing can happen. There is no embankment to fall down or a wall to hit.

In the end, many participants found that the tires hold up more than you think and gain more confidence in the lean angle ... me too.

A great and exhausting day that was fun and made safe for normal traffic. Curve training at Under control I can therefore recommend it to everyone, whether young or old, whether with Rennsemmel or the GS.
