On February 11, 2023, there was great interest in the first aid course organized by Angelika from DIGO Help in Neuried near Munich.
We were taught very clearly how to act as a first aider in a structured manner and how to behave in accident situations. The rescue chain serves as a guide here. Securing the scene of the accident; Rescue from the danger zone (without risking your own life); Make an emergency call to 112 (where, who, what, how many, waiting for questions); Initiate life-saving measures: cardiopulmonary resuscitation; stop bleeding; Combat shock and establish a stable side position.
Each participant had the opportunity to practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the practical part. Of course, the stable side position was also practiced, as was the application of pressure bandages. After defibrillators were displayed in more and more buildings and public places, the application became more widespread
also practiced. Especially for us motorcyclists, the correct helmet removal was carried out by each participant.
We were a great group and it was a lot of fun. We will be offering a first aid course again!
